"REMEMBER LAST NIGHT." A short story.
November 11, 2014
I WILL LISTEN.
You might think life’s pointless, on your cheeks tears glisten.
But no matter how far down you go, remember child I’ll listen.
Just like fallen suns, your glow will come on back.
Speak your words I will hear, when you’re under attack.
You may now feel broken, fallen on your knees.
But take my ear speak aloud, I will set you free.
Does my offer scare you? remember there’s no cost.
No judgment here just an ear, to help you when you’re lost.
Don’t listen to cruel words, see smiles that cut like knives.
Remember you, be yourself and you will arise.
Believe me when I say, your stars not yet arisen.
Lift your head, look this way, I will always listen.
Small steps from your heart, you will know your true friends.
No words from them just lend an ear, help your mind unbend.
With everything I have I will hear your pain.
I will listen.
Share what’s inside your head no shame.
Be there for you whatever the cost.
Lend my ear whenever you’re lost.
Take your weight take your fear.
Watch and wipe away your tears.
I will listen, listen, listen.
